Jane Finger … Chairwoman of the Complete Streets Subcommittee
Jane retired and moved to Fairhope because it was walkable. She owned her own Kitchen and Bath business for a while until she decided to retire for good and work on moving our coastal region toward adopting Complete Streets policies so that roads and bridges are built or remodeled to accommodate all users from walkers to bicyclers, from handicapped to Segway users.
Jane has taken the bull by the horns and has made many presentations to civic groups to help people understand the importance of mobility for everyone. Her subcommittee has gained the attention of the Fairhope City Council and the Alabama Department of Transportation.
