Beverley Allen, President
Partner with her husband in the accounting firm, Allen & Allen. She is a charter member (1989) of the Daphne–Spanish Fort Rotary Club and is currently the President Elect for the 2007-2008 year. Beverley is on the board of EMC’s Round Up Fund.
Dan Bourbon, Vice-President
Presently retired Chairman and former minority owner of an 11 million dollar provider of test equipment and contract product testing services, with operations in Holland, Plymouth, Auburn Hills, and Clinton Township in Michigan. For almost 30 years, Dan worked in the automotive industry managing large joint ventures and sales contracts which included international sales.
Denise Browning, Treasurer
Founder and President of Hunter Ventures, LLC, a six year old business that invests in, assists with capital raising for, and provides financial consulting services to municipalities, real estate developers, and start up and small businesses. She managed a municipal bond portfolio for Allstate Investments prior to moving to the coast. She has worked with the Mobile Downtown BID District.
Jim Connors, Secretary
Founding partner of Eco-Systems, Inc, a multi-practice encironmental consulting form with eight offices located across the southeastern US. He has a doctorate in Marine Sciences and teaches Physical Geology at the University of South Alabama. His twenty two year professional practice included work in areas of natural resource investigation, stormwater management, and sustainable development among other things.
Tedson Meyers
Retired Attorney and still serves as the Chair of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on the Law Library of Congress. He served on the District of Columbia City Council. He is Chair of the Arthur C. Clarke Foundation - Washington , D.C. , an organization devoted to the advancement of Aerospace technology. He founded the National Center for Bicycling & Walking over 30 years ago.
Rob McElroy
Director of Daphne Utilities, he is interested in showing the business community a positive way to grow a community that does not waste valuable resources. His bio-deisel project has gained a lot of interest statewide. He is a good communicator, strategic thinker and skilled long term planner.
Mary Kay Polys
Former CEO of Mercy Medical with an interest in having a healthy environment and promoting wellness. While CEO, the organization was rated in the top 10% of nation for employee satisfaction as measured by a prominent healthcare survey organization She brings a strong educational background in wellness, disease prevention and health as well as strong skills in management and operations of health institutions.
Terry Plauche
Landscape Architect/Planner in Mobile and sits on the Planning Commission for the City of Mobile. He is a Continuing Education Instructor of Low Impact/Green Site Design principles for realtors, engineers, and developers. He served on Mobile Mayor's Smart Growth Committee.
